With tree-lined mountains rising from the depths of Howe Sound, the views from Horseshoe Bay Park will captivate onlookers of every age. Be sure to also check out the two totem poles and a 5000-pound cast-bronze propeller from a converted whaling ship. Another great place to visit is Whytecliff Park. This beautiful corner of Howe Sound has a rugged coastline and spectacular views of colorful mountains and passing boats. The waters off the park are famous for their incredible diving. This is a great spot for beginner and experienced divers. Transit and Walkability
Due to the location and layout of these two neighborhoods, most residents have two main roads to get access to and from their homes. But for some residents (depending on where they are located) there might only be one road to give them access. By car, you are just under 15 minutes to Park Royal, 20 to Downtown and, and 50 minutes to the airport.
Schools
Gleneagles Elementary and Rockridge Secondary are two highly regarded schools located in the West Vancouver area known for their strong academic programs and dedicated teachers.
Cons
Running errands or commuting through the region might be a bit of a pain because of the area's tendency for excessive traffic, especially during peak hours. Some individuals could also consider the neighbourhood to be rather congested, particularly during the summer when the beach and neighbouring parks are well-liked hangouts. It is also well recognised for having hefty property taxes, which could worry some locals.
