West Bay
West Bay
Welcome to fine living in West Vancouver. The extraordinary neighborhood of West Bay is a part of one of the most affluent areas in not only West Van- but the whole North Shore. Located south of the Upper Levels Highway, and in the middle of the West Vancouver district, this area is where you will find some spectacular homes and estates. The homes in West Bay are a combination of classic architecture and modern design. Many homes sit on the waterfront or just behind. This is an exceptional place to call home!

This neighborhood is entirely residential so there aren't many amenities or points of interest within West Bay, but there are so many amazing things that are just minutes away from the neighborhood! There are numerous parks and green spaces- even public beach access that is tucked in between the blocks that are great places to bring your kids, and your pets, or to go to by yourself! Don’t get too down if you don’t have your own tennis court on your property, because there are public courts scattered throughout the neighborhoods! 29th street tennis courts and Benbow park tennis courts to name a few. You’ll also be happy to know that there are trails winding through and around these three neighborhoods. It wouldn’t be a real North Shore neighborhood if there wasn’t some sort of trail nearby.
Transit and Walkability
Walkability to services and shops is unattainable due to the seclusion of the area. Marine Drive is the main road that brings you in and out of the neighborhood and connects you to the rest of the North Shore. Here, you are 20 min to Downtown Vancouver and 50 min to YVR.
Schools
West Bay Elementary and Rockridge Secondary are two highly regarded schools located in West Vancouver. West Bay Elementary is considered one of the best in the province.
Cons
Particularly during the busiest time of year for tourists, the neighbourhood may get rather congested and busy. In addition, West Bay has less accessibility to public transportation than other areas of the city, which might make it more challenging for some inhabitants to get around. Another prevalent issue is traffic congestion. Last but not least, some people might consider the area to be a little too quiet and devoid of nightlife and entertainment choices.
