Furry Creek
Furry Creek is a community in West Vancouver, located on Howe Sound in the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District, south of Squamish. It is a quiet, and breathtaking neighborhood that is popular amongst retirees. Furry Creek residents enjoy living in a mountainside paradise that’s an easy drive from Vancouver and Whistler. The creek was named in the 1870s after early prospector and settler Oliver Furry. Loggers worked the slopes, and two adits from the Britannia Creek mine opened into Furry Creek where a logging camp supplied timbers for mine shoring in the early 1900s. Furry Creek boasts an internationally renowned golf course, world-class recreational destinations just minutes away, and a very tasteful recreational-resort character in its community plan. Furry Creek is the perfect place to call home for those who enjoy the finer things in life at a much slower pace!
