Cypress

Cypress

Welcome to one of West Vancouver's most enchanted nooks! The neighbourhood of Cypress, which is surrounded by an ocean-kissed coastline and a tranquil woodland, has a long history in West Vancouver and is still cherished today. Between Rose Crescent and The Dale, on both the north and south sides of Marine Drive, is where this area is situated. Here, Marine Drive becomes far less commercial and much more in keeping with its surroundings. It's a popular region for a reason because of its gorgeous waterfront mansions, historic structures, and quaint streets. Additionally, Cypress is a great place for outdoor enthusiasts because it has a lot of recreational spaces, such as parks and hiking trails. Additionally, there are numerous cafes and eateries in the area, which offer a diverse culinary experience for all visitors.

Transit and Walkability

You’re located deep enough into West Van that you’re away from the traffic, and hustle and bustle. But not so far West that you’re living “out of the way”. Here you are about 10 minutes from Park Royal Centre, about 20-25 minutes to Downtown Vancouver, and 50 to the airport.

Schools

Cypress Park Elementary and Rockridge Secondary are two highly respected schools located in the Cypress neighborhood, providing excellent educational opportunities for students from kindergarten through to high school.

Cons

One potential drawback of residing in West Vancouver's Cypress neighbourhood is that property taxes and housing costs there might be rather pricey. The region can sometimes get rather crowded during the busiest travel times, which could have an effect on the calm. During rush hour, the neighbourhood may also be quite crowded, and parking may be difficult to find, particularly in the summer. In addition, because the neighbourhood is built on a slope, some parts of it can be rather mountainous and steep, which could be difficult for some residents.
