Ambleside

Ambleside

Ambleside is the commercial heart and creative hub of West Vancouver – a vibrant neighborhood that celebrates community and culture in all forms.  It is home to artists, galleries, and year-round festivals. From spending the day at the beach, to walking the sea wall, to exploring the unique shops along Marine Drive and Bellevue- it really has something for everyone! The Ambleside you see today is a reflection of previous land use decisions. Those plans have directed the walkable street grid extending to the waterfront, the construction of the commercial core and apartment areas, and the concentration of civic and cultural facilities- this neighborhood really is years in the making!

Cons

Property taxes are also generally high, and homes in the area can be rather pricey. In addition, there might be severe competition for housing due to the area's high demand. Another drawback is that the area is extremely densely inhabited, making it challenging to locate parking during busy times. Additionally, because of the North Shore's congested traffic, it can be challenging to enter and exit the neighbourhood during rush hour and on weekends.
