Located above the Upper Levels Hwy and span all the way from just slightly East (a bit of West) of Lonsdale all the way Upper Delbrook. A lot of homes are perched on the hill and have spectacular views of the city, ocean and even out to Howe Sound! There are three things that really stand out about this neighbourhoods, and that is the views, the surrounding forest and trails, and the big, beautiful homes Upper Lonsdale is a young neighbourhoods in North Vancouver. What I mean by young is that these neighbourhoods were later additions to the North Shore and most of the homes here were constructed in the late 80s and 90s. One of the special things about Upper Lonsdale is that to the North of the neighbourhood, you are entirely surrounded by forest! Did you know?? Within these forests, you’ll find some of the best, world-renowned mountain biking trails in North America! Seriously! Any mountain biker you ask knows about “Mt Fromme” You’ll also find that there are a lot of cul-du-sacs here which offer a feeling of seclusion and privacy- something a lot of people appreciates up here!

Transit systems run all the way to the top of Lonsdale and there is a bus route that runs directly along Braemar Road. By car, you’re on the Upper Levels Highway in a matter of minutes, about 25 min to downtown, and 45 to YVR.

School

Braemar Elementary, Carisbrooke Elementary, and Carson Graham Secondary are highly regarded educational institutions that serve students from grade K-12 in Upper Lonsdale, offering a strong academic curriculum, diverse extracurricular activities, and a supportive learning environment.

Cons

Some of the cons of living in Upper Lonsdale include a higher cost of living compared to other areas in North Vancouver, heavy traffic during peak hours, limited public transportation options, and a lack of convenient amenities and services. Additionally, some residents may find the hilly terrain challenging, especially for those with mobility issues.
