Roche Point
Roche Point
East side of the Second Narrows Bridge in the neighborhood of Roche Point. It’s quiet, it’s friendly, it’s close to nature, and just down right beautiful! Nearly half of Roche Point is Tseleilwaututh (pronounced TS-LAY-WA-TOOTH) First Nation land on which the popular Raven Woods development of leasehold condos & townhouses have been built. Located directly off Dollarton Hwy, this is an amazing area for buyers who might be looking to downsize while still living in a quiet neighborhood!

There are some fantastic recreation options in this area. This really is a golfer's dream. If you can’t live directly on the course, you can live steps away from one. Seymour Golf and Country Club and Northlands Golf Course are both located within the neighbourhoods. Indian River Park is a system of informal trails that wind through the Indian River neighbourhood linking forest greenbelts, schools, and parks. These neighbourhood trails are worth exploring. Try the trail access points at Indian River Park on Indian River Drive. Cates Park goes without saying, this is one of the best waterfront parks on the North Shore. A convenient boat-launch area for locals, a popular place to bring kayaks, and the perfect spot to camp out for the day.
Transit and Walkability
Walkability is poor in this neighborhood, as you are not located close to any services or shops. Public transit runs along Dollarton, but not into Roche Point. Having a car is almost necessary in this area.
School
Dorothy Linus is a French Immersion program offered at Sherwood Park Elementary in North Vancouver and continues through to Seycove Secondary for grades 8 to 12.
Cons
One major concern is that it is a relatively isolated area, making it difficult to access basic amenities and services without a car. Additionally, the cost of living in Roche Point can be quite high, which might make it unaffordable for some people. The area also tends to have a relatively high crime rate, which can be a concern for those who are looking for a safe and secure neighbourhood. Furthermore, there can be traffic congestion during rush hour, making it challenging to get around.
