There are few options for public transportation in the area. Additionally, the proximity to the ocean and the surrounding landscape may cause higher humidity levels and an increased risk of flooding during torrential downpours. The neighbourhood may also be perceived by some as being rather quiet and devoid of nightlife alternatives in comparison to other parts of the city, despite the park and recreational opportunities nearby.
