Edgemont

Edgemont

Edgemont is one of North Vancouver’s most sought-after neighbourhoods. This area features large and beautiful homes with the peace and quiet of the suburbs but is just minutes away from the vibrant Edgemont Village. This neighbourhood is in an area surrounded by forested parks, sitting near the base of Grouse Mountain. A neighbourhood with so much charm. Edgemont Village comprises the two areas known as Capilano and Capilano Highlands. Capilano Highlands is a charming community and home to some of the most expensive real estate in North Vancouver. Capilano is located beside the Capilano River which separates North Vancouver and West Vancouver. The area is small in size but growing in popularity as the demand to be close to Edgemont Village increases.

Edgemont's main attraction is Edgemont Village. The Village feels like most mountain resort towns as it sits beneath Grouse Mountain. There are shops that specialize in the work of BC artisans, lots of cafes, new restaurants, and plenty of great places for gift shopping. One of the newest and nicest children’s playgrounds in the area is Murdo Fraser Park which also features tennis courts, a duck pond and a trail that leads up to Edgemont Village. Multiple movies and TV shows are filmed in Murdo Fraser Park by the cabin near the duck pond. Capilano Suspension Bridge crosses 230 feet above Capilano River to a West Coast rainforest and Treetops Adventure, a series of elevated suspension bridges, some reaching 100 feet above the forest floor. The Suspension Bridge’s latest addition is the breathtaking Cliff Walk: this heart-stopping cliffside journey takes you through rainforest vegetation on a series of unobtrusive cantilevered and suspended walkways jutting out from the granite cliff face abo

School

Cons

Edgemont definitely is on the higher end of the price spectrum. Considering you are paying for location, there are not really any homes with great views. Edgemont Village is popular for a reason. But that also means it can get very busy.
